Windows System Components

Published by Microsoft

Core Windows system DLLs that are part of the operating system. These files should not normally be replaced manually.

Why You Need This

System DLLs like kernel32.dll, ntdll.dll, and user32.dll are core Windows components. If these are missing or corrupted, you should run Windows System File Checker (sfc /scannow) or repair your Windows installation rather than downloading individual files.

Download Official Installer

Recommended: Install the full package

These are core Windows system files. If corrupted, run sfc /scannow in Command Prompt as Administrator.

Don't Download Individual DLLs

Installing the full runtime package is always the correct solution. Individual DLL downloads rarely fix the underlying issue and can cause additional problems.
